My notes
A quieter week, and not much hiding from it
After GW4, this was always going to feel flatter unless the team landed another big score. It did not. Saka Potatoes scored 45 points in GW5, which took the season total to 346 but moved the overall ranking backwards.
The actual change I made was simple: Wissa came in for Joao Pedro. It was a free transfer, so there was no hit to defend or regret immediately. The awkward bit is that both players scored 0, so the move did not change the week either way.
- One free transfer: Wissa in, Joao Pedro out.
- Captain: Haaland, returning 12 points with the armband.
- Overall ranking moved from 719,922 after GW4 to 944,857 after GW5.
Result
GW5 was more about damage review than celebration
GW4 was a big score, so the first useful comparison is not whether GW5 felt good. It is whether the decisions inside GW5 created or lost value.
The headline result was 45 points, taking Saka Potatoes to 346 total points. The overall rank moved from 719,922 to 944,857, which is a fall of 224,935 places.
- GW5 score: 45 points.
- Season total after GW5: 346 points.
- Overall rank after GW5: 944,857 in the public history snapshot.
Transfer review
The single GW5 transfer was neutral immediately
The GW5 move was Wissa in for Joao Pedro. Both players scored 0 in GW5, and there was no transfer hit, so the immediate transfer swing was 0 points.
That does not prove the transfer was good or bad. It just keeps the immediate result honest: the move neither fixed the week nor caused the week by itself.
- Incoming GW5 points: Wissa 0.
- Outgoing GW5 points: Joao Pedro 0.
- Immediate transfer value after hits: 0 points.
