How calculators are built
TallyKind calculators are built by David Slade, Founder of TallyKind / Software Engineer, around practical user questions: how much pay might come home, whether a part-exchange offer is worth comparing, or how a race split changes total time. The interactive tool stays near the top of each page so users can get an answer quickly.
Important calculators include methodology notes, calculation shape, worked examples, interpretation guidance, assumptions, limitations and related tools. The aim is to show how the result is produced without turning the page into a long generic article.
Lighter tools can remain available for users without being promoted in search until they offer enough explanation, examples and practical value on their own.
Rates, rules and changing data
UK tax, childcare, rates and property calculations use central rule or data files where possible, so the selected year and assumptions can be exposed consistently. Where a calculator supports multiple years, the selected rules year is visible in the input or result notes.
If a rate, threshold or public schedule might change, TallyKind labels the relevant year or status and links to sources where practical. Users should still check official sources before making financial, legal, childcare or medical decisions.
Sports events and UK times
Major sports event pages use curated event records with sport, competition, venue, UK time, local time where useful, source links, date status and watch notes. Formula 1 Grand Prix pages keep race, qualifying, sprint and practice times on the same event page where reliable session data exists.
Times are stored as timezone-aware timestamps and displayed for UK users as GMT or BST as appropriate. Provisional or date-confirmed events are labelled rather than presented as fully confirmed.
Fantasy Premier League analysis
TallyKind's FPL tools use public Fantasy Premier League manager, player, price, availability, fixture and performance data. The model blends projected points, expected minutes, fixture difficulty, recent form, xG/xA, defensive contribution, bonus/BPS trends, set-piece signals, transfer activity and team strength where available.
The tools cannot see private transfers, chip plans, exact selling values, passwords or late team leaks. Player tables expose compact score breakdowns so users can understand the main factors behind a recommendation.
Worked examples and limitations
Worked examples are written to match the calculation method used by the tool. They are examples of how to think about the output, not promises about the user's own result.
TallyKind does not provide regulated financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, mortgage advice, medical diagnosis, childcare eligibility decisions or official sports predictions. The tools help users compare assumptions and identify what to check next.
Corrections and freshness
Users can report stale data, unclear wording, broken pages or calculation concerns by email or through the feedback form. Corrections are reviewed against the relevant calculation method and source data before changes are made.
TallyKind keeps a private list of ideas that are paused from wider promotion. That lets useful tools come back later without leaving thin, unfinished or unclear pages in front of visitors.
Established search pages should be improved in place before they are redirected, noindexed or removed. If a URL has already earned meaningful Search Console impressions, clicks or rankings, the default recovery path is to strengthen the page rather than retire the address.
