Fitness modelling

Garmin Data Analyser

Upload a Garmin export archive, or use the built-in example data while testing, to explore exercise trends and fit performance models from the fitness-data-analyser service.

Garmin Archive

Max 200 MB

Upload a Garmin export zip, then analyse the archive. Activity view controls are above the analysis charts.

No archive selectedTesting mode will use the example archive.

Ready to analyse

Upload an archive or use the example data to populate activity summaries, charts and best efforts.

Why this is different

More than a fitness dashboard

This utility is built around modelling, not just totals. It separates archive exploration from model analysis so you can first see what is in the export, then filter to an activity type or distance and ask which available Garmin signals are associated with performance.

  • Filter by exercise type, dates and distance targets such as 5K or 10K runs.
  • Compare trends, best efforts, activity mix and monthly performance patterns.
  • Fit explainable models with holdout validation, candidate comparisons and factor summaries.

Privacy and processing

Your archive is forwarded for analysis

Uploaded Garmin zip files are sent server-side to the separate fitness-data-analyser API service. They are analysed for the request and are not intended to be cached by TallyKind. The testing mode uses the analyser service's built-in example archive when you do not upload a file.

Good modelling hygiene

Use models as evidence, not certainty

Garmin data is useful but messy. Activity context, route, weather, illness, device changes, sleep data gaps and training cycles can all affect results. Validation charts and candidate metrics are shown so you can see whether a model is informative or just thinly supported.

Heart rate and cadence are measured during an activity, so they help explain performance rather than predict it before you start.

Independent utility

Not affiliated with Garmin

TallyKind is independent and not affiliated with Garmin. Export formats can change, so results should be checked against your own Garmin Connect data where precision matters.
